Oldeani Secondary School - The Road Ahead

Our progress over the past 10 years inspires us to dream big as we take on our biggest adventure yet of transitioning Oldeani Secondary School (OSS) into a residential campus. By offering a robust boarding program, we can combat the risks students face while walking over two hours to school each day.

In January of 2023, we opened our first dormitory and welcomed 96 female students and 64 male students to live on campus. It was an exciting time for the Oldeani community as families celebrated the opportunity to give their children a better chance at completing secondary school.

This year we will be constructing a second dormitory that will house an additional 96 students in 2024. The first two dormitories will house female students as this is our most critically at-risk group. In order to offer safe housing to all students in need, TCF plans to have a total of four dormitories constructed to house over 450 students by 2028.

TCF has always believed in the importance of meeting the holistic needs of a child in order for them to succeed both in and outside the classroom. Students living on campus have access to opportunities for focused learning, valuable life-skills training, extra-curricular activities, medical care, nutritional meals, and mentorship. We are focused on providing all the essentials in an enriching environment to ensure every student can thrive as we empower them to graduate.

As we look forward to a future of safe housing for secondary students in Oldeani, we will also explore additional ways to improve the student experience. We plan to introduce vocational and entrepreneurship training, offer an enhanced English language learning program, build additional classrooms, and more.

Thank you for making the past 10 years possible. We hope you join us for the journey ahead!
