Why We’re Here
Tanzania is home to over 59 million people, with over 44% of the population under the age of 15. Today, too many children and families in Tanzania do not have access to the opportunities they deserve.
70% of children never enroll in secondary school.
People struggle to access medical care, with only 3 doctors available for every 100,000 people.
Nearly half of the population lives below the poverty line.
Over 3 million children are orphaned.
We are here to change that.
In 2003, we began pursuing an ambitious dream: help a community of 10,000 find a path out of poverty. Every day since, we have refused to stop at simply treating the symptoms of generational poverty for we believe all children deserve more than the basics like food and shelter. They deserve annual physicals, dedicated teachers, and college diplomas.
Our community is full of boundless potential. It’s time to give all children and families in our region access to the opportunities they deserve.
