Meet Dr. Emmanuel Chegge!

At just 24 years old, Dr. Emmanuel Chegge is proving that passion and commitment can make a profound difference in healthcare, no matter your age. Since joining Rift Valley Children’s Fund a year ago, he has transformed the way we approach medical care. His philosophy goes beyond treating symptoms; he takes the time to understand each patient’s full story, ensuring every diagnosis and treatment plan is personalized and effective. As he puts it, “Healthcare isn’t just about medicine; it’s about listening, learning, and finding better solutions.”

Dr. Emmanuel’s fresh perspective and unwavering commitment have made him an integral part of our health program, which offers free medical services to over 10,000 people in the Oldeani community every year. Thanks to your support, our clinic now includes a fully operational diagnostic lab and provides essential services such as outpatient care, chronic disease management, growth and nutrition support, a school health initiative, and neurology and mental health services. For many in Oldeani, these services are life-changing—offering access to care they would otherwise struggle to find.

Each morning, Dr. Emmanuel begins his day by checking in on the 35+ children living full-time in our village before they head to school. From there, he moves to the clinic, where his day is a whirlwind of consultations, exams, treatment planning, counseling, follow-ups, and prescriptions. Whether caring for young children or offering expert guidance to adults, his compassionate, patient-centered approach ensures that everyone receives the care they deserve.
