Stick With Us

We often wonder what the past year has felt like to our four newest additions, Ema, Jertruda, John and Eliza, who joined our forever family at the Rift Valley Children’s Village exactly one year ago.

2020 gave them a year of firsts unlike any other. While Ema, Jertruda, John and Eliza experienced their first global pandemic and first quarantine, they also all had their first family dinner. When Jetruda, Eliza and John tasted their first slice of birthday cake, over twenty of their brothers and sisters packed into Serengeti house, singing and cheering to the toddlers’ delight. When Ema suffered his first big slip on the playground, siblings from across campus raced to his rescue, scooping him into their arms until his tears melted into a smile.

As we all scramble to navigate these unprecedented times, we are reminded of how important it is to stick together and support one another.

Your support is what allows us to give Ema, Jertruda, John and Eliza the many firsts along the road to adulthood. Whether it be their first day of school, their first graduation, their first soccer game, or their first job, it is you who will make those milestones possible.

Our operating budget is the fuelthat provides all of our 102 children with the opportunities they deserve. It gives them and our entire Oldeani community of 10,000 people access to education, health care and economic opportunity.

Between now and December 31st, we need to raise over $800,000 to fund 56 college tuitions, treat 3,500 patients, educate over 1,000 students, provide loans to 730 entrepreneurs and give Ema, Jertruda, John and Eliza another year of firsts.

We hope you stick with us.
